The Weighmaster role involves providing recordkeeping, basic customer service, and administrative support at truck scales and in the office under general supervision. The position requires directing trucks to the scale, recording weights, calculating fees, and compiling records of inbound and outbound material weights by category. The Weighmaster will also perform data entry for various types of commodities, inspect loads for validity, monitor truck radio communications, and respond to emergencies or problems. Additional office tasks may be required, and for sites accepting hazardous waste, the Weighmaster must ensure compliance with standards. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
