About The Position

We are looking for a Weighmaster for our Troy, MI facility. In this role you will weigh up batch calculations per job provided by the Materials Engineer. This is done by physically locating and then allocating specific raw material and remelt according to the Material Allocation Sheet following the correct order based on Standard Operation Procedures. Requirements

  • High School diploma or vocational technical training
  • Ability to operate a stand-up fork truck
  • Basic math skills and organization ability
  • Basic mechanical knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Measure, weigh, and combine raw materials based on specific instructions
  • Locate and organize raw materials in a logical manner throughout the warehouse to ensure productivity in building heats
  • Ensure proper movement and tracking of material
  • Track, maintain, and allocate slugs and crowns to related production orders
  • Meet or exceed all safety, environmental, and health goals for department
  • Meet or exceed quality goals for production orders and productivity targets
  • Contribute to continual improvement activities and workplace organization
  • Perform other duties as required
