About The Position

The Weighmaster is responsible for the daily operations, scheduling and workflow of the scale house, while providing excellent customer service. The work is performed under the distant supervision from the plant manager. The Weighmaster will also act as backup Weighmaster in other areas as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior experience with aggregate products and dispatching a plus
• Apex and SAP computer skills a plus along with Microsoft office products, including Excel
• Ability to work regular workweek including weekends, and hours may vary depending customer needs (including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts)
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in fast pace environment
• Possess analytical, problem-solving (basic mathematical skills) and organizational skills. Be detail oriented and accurate
• Bilingual (English-Spanish) a plus

Responsibilities

• Maintaining computerized records of material amounts, truck identities and issuance of weigh certificates in compliance with county and stated regulations
• Taking orders and dispatching aggregate deliveries
• Issuing sand/gravel weight certificates and scrap metal weigh certificates
• Maintaining record of current license numbers and current tare weights of all trucks
• Interacting with County and State inspectors of Dept. of Weight and Measure as well as coordinating any repairs to the scale as requested by Department of Weight and Measure
• Coordinating with plant manager the staffing of yard personnel during high volume days
• Monitoring scheduled inspections and completing scale reports
• Verifying account status of customers
• Assisting credit department by maintaining records that allow reconciliation in the event of discrepancy between customer and accounts payable
• Adhering to all CEMEX, MSHA, and OSHA rules and regulations at all times and wearing proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
• Meeting or exceeding company safety standards
• Performing other job responsibilities as assigned by management
