About The Position

Responsible for weighing inbound and outbound grape and bulk wine trucks, as well as enters and reports all shipping and receiving information.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in general office procedures
  • Wine, transportation and/ or logistics knowledge required
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent math skills and strong analytic/decision making skills
  • High level of attention to detail and committed to avoiding errors
  • Highly proficient and accurate with 10 key
  • Computers and Microsoft Office
  • Problem solving and critical thinking
  • Working in a team and willing to help on various projects
  • Follows guidelines & procedures
  • Represent the company in a professional manner
  • Work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Manage one’s own time, prioritize responsibilities, keen sense of urgency when necessary
  • Proactively communicate regarding prioritization of workload, ask questions when assignments aren’t clear or missing information and/ or when unable to meet requested deadline(s)

  • Availability to work independently as well as with a team
  • Maintain accurate and thorough records
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as well as cover additional shifts when needed
  • Required to work 7 days a week during the Crush Season (July-October)

Responsibilities

  • Weigh in and out all bulk wine and grape trucks
  • Prepare, print and distribute Bill of Ladings
  • Prepare, print and distribute Cellar Tags
  • Prepare, print, reconcile and distribute all appropriate reports
  • Enter all bulking wine receiving and shipping schedule into scale software
  • Communicate effectively with company personnel to aid in the completion of required tasks as well as all issues/ concerns
  • Providing information to management by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person
  • Archiving and filing of documentation
  • Follow guidelines and procedures in order to ensure ISO certification
  • Assist with any general administrative tasks, projects and/ or additional duties assigned by a supervisor/ manager
  • Create new and update existing SOP’s, forms, reference materials, etc
  • Facilitate New Employee Training
  • Maintain scale house housekeeping
