i9 Sports is a leading community-based organization committed to promoting a love for sports among youth. We focus on creating a fun, positive, and encouraging environment where kids can learn the fundamentals of various sports while building essential life skills such as teamwork, respect, and confidence. Position Overview: Game Day Official (All Sports) Join our team as a Weekend Official for i9 Sports! We are looking for energetic, reliable individuals to officiate youth games, engage with players, and help create a positive experience on game day. Our officials do more than just enforce rules—they lead by example, mentor young athletes, and contribute to an unforgettable experience for players and families alike.

  • Officiate games (flag football, soccer, basketball, baseball, and more) fairly and consistently, while ensuring the safety of all participants.
  • Maintain a fun and supportive game environment that emphasizes sportsmanship over competition.
  • Engage with players and coaches in a positive, encouraging manner—offering age-appropriate guidance and correcting behavior with professionalism and care.
  • Serve as a mentor and role model, especially for first-time players.
  • Clearly explain rules to players and coaches to promote understanding and development.
  • Collaborate with site leadership and other officials to ensure smooth operations throughout game day.
  • Assist with field or court setup, maintenance, and teardown, ensuring facilities are ready and clean.
  • Represent i9 Sports in a professional and friendly manner with families and venue staff.
  • Prior experience officiating or playing youth sports (any sport) is strongly preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of the rules and flow of at least one major youth sport (training provided for others).
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Positive attitude and a passion for working with kids and families.
  • Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
  • Available to work weekends throughout the season (typically 4–8 hours on Saturdays and/or Sundays).
  • Officiating certification is a plus, but not required.
