About The Position

The Weekend Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing care and services for a group of hospice patients, visiting them where they reside, which could include private homes, assisted living facilities, and hospitals. As an RN, you will complete hospice admissions and patient visits as needed. Applicants must have great clinical and communication skills. The Weekend RN is responsible for answering calls from patients, families, and customers. The RN will make nursing visits for symptom management, deaths, and admissions as needed. This RN position must also be passionate about hospice care and be a great advocate for both hospice services and Suncrest Hospice.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in good standing in the state(s) of practice.
• One year of experience under license.
• Admissions and on-call experience preferred.
• Ability to work well within a team environment.
• Strong clinical and communication skills.
• Time management skills to manage visits, documentation, and meetings.
• Ability to learn an electronic medical records system.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working independently and managing day-to-day activities.
• Understanding of hospice rules and regulations.

Responsibilities
