About The Position

The Weekend Supervisor at Longwood Health and Rehabilitation Center is responsible for overseeing nursing staff and ensuring high-quality care for residents during the weekend shifts. This role involves supervising the implementation of care plans, conducting assessments, and participating in process improvement initiatives to enhance the overall resident experience. The position requires effective communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a commitment to maintaining a compassionate and professional environment for both residents and staff.

Requirements

  • Active Florida RN/LPN license
  • Current/active CPR certification preferred
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills
  • Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Problem solving skills
  • Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives that improve the customer experience, enhance workflow, and/or improve the work environment.
  • Ensure completion of assessments of residents at admission, discharge, and as necessary and required.
  • Supervise nursing staff on assigned unit(s).
  • Make rounds to monitor resident care and status of residents.
  • Provide oversight and guidance regarding the implementation of the plan of care for residents in compliance with physician's orders.
  • Obtain clinical guidance from the Director of Nursing/designated RN as appropriate related to resident care.
  • Ensure nursing policies and procedures are implemented and followed, educating nursing support staff as necessary and according to facility guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
