About The Position

The Weekend Shift Standup Forklift Operator/Material Handler is responsible for operating powered material handling equipment to manage the movement of merchandise within the distribution center. This role requires working primarily on weekends, with a focus on efficiency and accuracy in processing inventory for shipment to stores. The operator will also be involved in maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with company values.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (Preferred)
• 1 year of warehouse experience (Required)
• 1 year of forklift experience (Required)

Responsibilities

• Utilizes RF units, scanners, CRTs or hard copy reports to accurately record the movement of merchandise from receipt to distribution.
• Operates various manual and/or powered material handling equipment to transport pallets of merchandise within the distribution center as directed.
• Moves empty pallets and storage racks to specified locations and stacks them in an orderly manner.
• Audits, verifies, and completes production paperwork to ensure accuracy and completeness of orders.
• Performs semi-routine duties requiring some judgment under defined procedures.
• Exhibits reasonable care in the operation of powered material handling equipment.
• Performs general housekeeping duties to maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintains the integrity of the company's Mission, Vision, and Values while performing daily job duties.
