About The Position

Kinder Retirement is looking for a PT weekend RN. A weekend Registered Nurse (RN) in a skilled nursing facility provides direct patient care, including assessments, medication administration, and monitoring patient conditions, ensuring continuous care during weekend hours. This role also involves crucial administrative tasks like documentation, collaborating with the healthcare team, and coordinating with physicians to adjust care plans as needed.

Responsibilities

Patient care and assessment: Conducting initial and ongoing patient assessments to monitor health status.
Assessing for changes in condition and taking appropriate care measures.
Providing direct care, such as assisting with activities of daily living (e.g., bathing, dressing).
Wound care, including cleaning and bandaging.
Medication and treatment: Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Monitoring patients for any adverse reactions.
Documentation: Accurately recording patient observations, medical history, and vital signs.
Completing timely documentation and updating care plans.
Collaboration and communication: Collaborating with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to discuss patient care plans.
Communicating with patients' families.
Serving as a point of contact for inquiries and reporting significant changes in patient condition to the primary care team or physicians.
Emergency and leadership: Acting as the "person in charge" during the weekend shift and directing staff to ensure timely responses during emergencies.
Stabilizing patients in acute distress until further medical assistance can be obtained.
