About The Position

Williamsburg Retirement Community is looking for a warm, dependable Weekend Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our community. This role is perfect for someone who loves people, enjoys a beautiful and active environment, and takes pride in creating meaningful first impressions. As our Weekend Receptionist, you will greet residents, families, and guests with genuine warmth and hospitality, helping everyone who walks through our doors feel at home. You'll assist visitors by escorting them to residents' apartments, maintaining our bistro space to keep it stocked, clean, and inviting, and supporting the community's overall flow throughout the day. This role also includes completing basic office tasks, such as preparing reports and digitizing documents, answering phones and taking messages or answering questions, and giving brief, informal tours to prospective visitors who stop by on weekends. You'll be a helpful extra set of hands during meal times by assisting the dining team with serving residents, and you'll help keep common areas looking beautiful, tidy, and welcoming. No two days are exactly the same, and flexibility, attentiveness, and a positive attitude are key to success in this role. The ideal candidate is friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with seniors, families, and coworkers. Strong communication skills, a service-oriented mindset, and the ability to stay organized while balancing light administrative tasks and guest interaction are important. Prior experience in hospitality, customer service, or reception is helpful, but not required-we're happy to train the right person with the right heart. If you're looking for meaningful weekend work in a community that values kindness, teamwork, and creating a true sense of home, we'd love to meet you.
