Ottawa University (established in 1865), one of the oldest private liberal arts universities in the United States, is a multi-campus system serving approximately 4000 students through its campuses in Kansas (Ottawa, Kansas- Residential Campus and Overland Park, Kansas- Adult Programs); Arizona (Surprise Residential Campus and OUAZ Adult Programs); Wisconsin (Brookfield Adult Programs); and our OU ONLINE PROGRAM based out of Overland Park, Kansas. JOB SUMMARY Provides support and assistance to weekend program operations to weekend graduate classes at the Kansas City campus, generally held from Fridays to Sundays. Position will work up to 6 times per calendar year; or more as program grows and has need for additional support. Must be available to work during weekends identified below in 2026. 2026 Weekend Program Dates: DBA/MSN January 23-25, 2026 EMBA May 8-10, 2026 DBA/MSN May 15-17, 2026 EMBA August 28-30, 2026 DBA/MSN September 11-13, 2026 MSCS/MSN3rd September 18-20, 2026 Weekend Program Hours: Up to 29 hours ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB (provide list of items which are essential to effective outcomes in this role): Requires presence for established schedule during program weekends. Responsible for placing a high priority on service to students assuring "top notch" customer service. Interfaces with others via telephone, computer, and in person. Duties associated with weekend programming in this role: sign and classroom prep, provide campus tours, check-in/door support for arriving students, snack/coffee/tea prep and refill, meal host/guide, maintain attendance sheets, close out the day/setup for following day, haul items from conference center to OU office building, audio visual support. Position must maintain effective working relationships and understand the job responsibilities and obligations of those with whom you work. Must support the work of other staff members and create a sense of “team” within the Unit. Provide a positive and efficient service and support to all aspects of program support.
