About The Position

If so, we invite you to join our team at Amedisys, one of the largest and most trusted home health and hospice companies in the U.S. The position is for a Weekend Physical Therapist, responsible for helping patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function. You will provide interventions, conduct reexaminations (every 30 days, at minimum), modify interventions as necessary, and perform discharge planning.

Requirements

• Current license to practice physical therapy specific to the state you're assigned to work in.
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• One year related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care.
• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participating in a residency program.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Helping patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.
• Providing interventions and conducting reexaminations every 30 days.
• Modifying interventions as necessary.
• Performing discharge planning.
• Other duties as assigned.
