The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing care as delegated, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas, and following the policies, procedures, and standards set forth by the Medical Center. This role emphasizes the importance of teamwork and effective collaboration among healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care for patients. The LPN will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and quality service, particularly in a safety-sensitive environment. This position is classified as a Safety Sensitive Position under Act 593 of the State of Arkansas, which mandates that employees must not be under the influence of substances that could impair their ability to provide care, particularly marijuana, as it poses a threat to patient safety. The LPN will work in the Adult Psych Unit, providing essential nursing care and support to patients during their treatment and recovery process. The role requires a strong understanding of nursing practices and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all patient needs are met promptly and efficiently.
