About The Position
The Weekend Mental Health Technician position at Brightwell Behavioral Health is a critical role focused on delivering patient and family-centered care to seniors with primary psychiatric diagnoses and psycho-social needs. This position requires working every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, providing essential support in a 23-bed inpatient facility dedicated to compassionate and comprehensive treatment for psychological, behavioral, physical, and socialization needs. The technician will engage in therapeutic counseling, crisis intervention, and group work, while also coordinating care and facilitating discharge plans for high-risk patient populations. Brightwell Behavioral Health is committed to ensuring an exceptional experience for both patients and their families, emphasizing optimal patient outcomes through individualized care. In this role, the technician will perform a variety of essential functions under the supervision of Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses. Responsibilities include assisting with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, as well as performing basic nursing care tasks such as taking vital signs, assisting with meals, and maintaining an orderly environment. The technician will also be responsible for clerical duties, including managing patient charts, answering calls, and coordinating with various hospital departments. The position requires a professional demeanor, adherence to confidentiality, and compliance with hospital policies and federal regulations regarding patient privacy. Candidates for this position should possess excellent verbal communication skills, the ability to maintain effective relationships with hospital personnel, and a commitment to ethical behavior and standards of conduct.
