Weekend LVN
About The Position
Evolve adolescent mental health treatment and teen rehab centers, accredited by CARF and The Joint Commission, offer the highest caliber of behavioral health care for adolescents 12 to 17 years old struggling with mental health issues or substance abuse. We are looking for a part-time LVN/LPT to join our team as a weekend nurse to work Saturdays and Sundays from 12pm-8:30pm. If interested, there is an opportunity to work 3 out of 4 weekends a month to allow for one weekend off a month. This is an opportunity to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team and gain experience working with teens with acute mental health and substance abuse issues. Many of our past nurses have found that this experience was helpful in pursuing an RN degree.
Requirements
- Valid LVN/LPT license
- Proficient in PC, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Ability to multi-task and collaborate productively with other team members
- Must be punctual
- Have a respectful and professional demeanor and demonstrate appropriate boundaries with clients
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Must have a valid DL and reliable transportation
- Must have a clean record and can clear a CA Live Scan background check
Nice To Haves
- Experience with EMR is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide first aid and nursing care as needed
- Supervise and ensure the safety of all clients in care
- Ensure needs and services for each client are being implemented
- Ensure all records are up to date
- Complete and record daily vitals and weekly weight
- Prepare and administer medication daily; do medical inventory as needed
- Handle health emergencies appropriately
