About The Position
The Weekend LPN Charge Nurse position at Ambler Extended Care Center is a vital role responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to residents. The primary purpose of this job is to assess the needs of residents, develop individualized care plans, administer nursing care, and evaluate the effectiveness of the care provided. The LPN Charge Nurse will also supervise nursing assistants and other personnel involved in the delivery of nursing care, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. This supervision is crucial to maintaining the highest degree of quality care at all times, as mandated by the Director of Nursing Services or their designee. In this role, the LPN Charge Nurse will follow all health, sanitary, and infection control policies, maintaining established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures. The position requires effective communication skills, as the nurse must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and demonstrate good interpersonal skills. Attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to observe proper safety and sanitary techniques. The LPN must be able to work hours as scheduled based on the requirements of the position, which includes working every weekend or every other weekend, with shifts from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. or 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The Ambler Extended Care Center prides itself on being a leader in the long-term care industry, operating in six different states.
