About The Position

The Leasing Consultant at Drucker + Falk is responsible for the leasing of all apartments, which includes handling prospective resident phone calls, performing miscellaneous clerical duties, and providing support for office personnel. The position requires a strong customer service philosophy and the ability to maintain a courteous and helpful attitude at all times. The Leasing Consultant will respond promptly to resident requests, resolve issues, and explain company and community policies to residents and potential residents. A comprehensive working knowledge of lease-related documents is essential, as well as maintaining accurate resident files and entering data in accordance with company policy. The role also involves assisting in resident retention programs, inspecting apartments prior to move-in, and participating in community events.

Responsibilities

  • Lease apartments at the highest effective rent level possible while maintaining strong customer service.
  • Maintain a courteous and helpful attitude at all times.
  • Respond to resident requests promptly and courteously.
  • Explain company and community policies to residents and potential residents.
  • Have a comprehensive working knowledge of all lease-related documents and complete them accurately and timely.
  • Maintain accurate resident files in accordance with company policy.
  • Enter computer data related to residents and potential residents.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining a resident retention/renewal program.
  • Inspect apartments prior to move-in to ensure market-ready status.
  • Assist in leasing activities and resident relations.
  • Be aware of rent levels and amenities of competitive communities.
  • Prepare competitive market survey reports as needed.
  • Greet new residents and assist with the move-in process.
  • Verify application data and qualify potential residents.
  • Show model and available ready vacancies.
  • Participate in the coordination of community-sponsored events.
  • Become certified as a Leasing Specialist through in-house training.
  • Travel may be required, with reasonable use of a vehicle.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Occasional weekend hours may be required.
