About The Position

PART - TIME 12PM - 7PM WEEKENDS ONLY GREAT TEAM PART TIME WEEKEND COOK SUMMARY: 12pm - 7pm Montgomery Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is committed to being the premier provider and employer of choice in Short Term Rehabilitation, Sub-Acute, and Long Term Healthcare services for the Hudson Valley area. The Cook prepares and cooks a variety of foods according to menus, dietary needs, and portion requirements. Ensures food safety, sanitation, kitchen cleanliness, equipment maintenance, inventory management, and adherence to health codes. Cook prepares and cook items as per menus and dietary needs. Cook ensures meat, fish, and poultry are cooked to safe temperatures. Cook follows recipes accurately. Clean and maintain cooking equipment and utensils. Ensure kitchen equipment and work areas are clean and functional. Adhere to food safety and NY State sanitation standards. Maintain food usage and expenditure records. Inventory supplies and equipment to ensure proper stock levels. Set up workstations with required ingredients and equipment.

Requirements

Ability to perform a variety of job responsibilities including, but not limited to the operation of equipment and preparation of food.
Stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours.
Must be able to lift, push, pull and move a minimum of 50 pounds.
Minimum High School Diploma (or equivalent).
Minimum 1 years’ experience as a cook in a health care setting
Excellent communication and organization skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible.
Exemplary customer service skills.
