Weekend Certified Nursing Assistant /Home Health Aide
About The Position
At Brighton/Suncrest Hospice, the goal is to provide exceptional hospice care and service to patients by increasing staff to patient ratios and clinical visits while lowering clinician caseloads. The company is CHAP certified. The Weekend Certified Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide (CNA/HHA) works under the direction of the Director of CNA Services, providing resident care to assigned residents in accordance with assessments, care plans, and nursing management directives. This role coordinates care with other licensed staff, strictly following company nursing policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. The position primarily involves making visits to end-of-life patients on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as making supply delivery and triage visits when appropriate.
Requirements
- Strong commitment to improving quality of life while partnering with our community organizations in patient care
- Ability to work well within a team environment to collaborate daily with nurses, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, and aide leadership
- Eager to gain higher level of opportunities such as certifications and further education
- Able to work independently and on your own from a day-to-day basis
- Must be willing to drive with reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state(s) of practice
- Home Health Aide (HHA) certification in the state(s) of practice
Responsibilities
- Providing resident care to assigned residents in accordance with resident assessments, care plans and as directed by nursing management
- Working with other licensed care staff to coordinate the proper types of care to residents
- Strictly following all Company nursing policies and procedures as well as safety guidelines
- Making visits to our end of life patients on Saturdays and Sundays
- Making supply delivery and triage visits when appropriate
