Weekend Baylor RN Nurse Supervisor Opportunity at Trinity Place Trinity Place is hiring for an Weekend Baylor RN Nurse Supervisor position! Pay and Benefits $5,000 INCENTIVE (paid out in increments) Base pay will be discussed during the interview process. Schedule: Every Saturday & Sunday Daily Pay available: Access earned pay on a daily basis before the regular pay day. Benefit eligibility begins after 30 days of employment, including insurance and paid time off (PTO). Additional Pay Pay in lieu of benefits: Earn an extra $2.00 per hour! Position Purpose and Summary The primary responsibility of the Nurse Supervisor is to oversee the daily nursing activities within the facility during the assigned shift. This supervision must comply with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern Lutheran Services Carolinas (LSC) facilities. Duties are also directed by the Director of Nursing Services to ensure the highest quality care is maintained at all times. Essential Functions Assist the Director of Nursing in managing daily nursing functions; collaborate with nursing staff to plan department services, programs, and activities. Participate in the facility’s Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement program as directed; attend required committee meetings and prepare reports as requested. Perform administrative duties including completing forms, reports, evaluations, and investigations as assigned by the Director of Nursing. Provide leadership to nursing personnel, including coaching, training, orientation, mentoring, developing work assignments, and conducting performance evaluations. Notify nursing staff of new admissions and assist with the admission process. Review resident records periodically for accuracy and completeness; observe medication and treatment administration; conduct daily rounds. Investigate discrepancies in narcotic counts and report findings; ensure security of drug rooms and carts, and follow storage guidelines for drugs and biologicals. Consult with physicians regarding resident care and accompany them on rounds if needed. Participate in resident care planning with the interdisciplinary team; ensure nursing personnel follow care plans in accordance with residents’ wishes. Meet with residents and/or family members as required; follow up on grievances using the LSC Guaranteed Fair Treatment process; monitor care to ensure residents are treated with dignity, kindness, and respect. Provide direct resident care and administer professional services (such as respiratory care, IV care, dressing changes, tube feedings, catheter care, and more) as necessary. Follow LSC procedures for notification in case of significant changes in a resident’s condition, accidents, or incidents; ensure advance directives are implemented and palliative care provided; notify families of death and ensure post-mortem procedures are carried out. Participate in the infection control program, work with the Infection Prevention individual to identify trends and outbreaks, implement precautions, and ensure vaccinations and TB testing are completed. Ensure safety guidelines are followed, including proper lifting and transfer procedures, fire and disaster plans, crash cart maintenance, use of protective equipment, and reporting hazardous materials or exposure to bloodborne pathogens. Honor resident choices, allowing residents to direct their own care and make personal decisions about daily schedules and activities. Participate in educational programs and complete required in-service training. Reflect LSC's mission, vision, values, and customer service standards in everyday interactions. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Registered Nursing degree from an accredited college or university, or graduation from an approved RN program.
  • No prior experience required.
  • Maintain cordial and tactful communication with residents, families, peers, and others; uphold confidentiality at all times.
  • CPR certification or the ability to become CPR certified.
  • Must be a licensed registered nurse in the state of North Carolina.

Nice To Haves

  • One to two years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Computer skills preferred; must be capable or willing to learn electronic resident documentation.
