About The Position

The Mountrail County Weed Board is accepting applications for a Weed Control Technician/GIS Specialist. Duties include: Assisting with weed inspection, control, and management planning. Performing GIS data collection, mapping, and technical support for Weed Control and the County Ag Agency. Supporting regulatory compliance, public outreach, and landowner education programs. This is a full-time position offering a generous pay package ($60,300-$72,523 per year DOE), and excellent benefits including fully paid family health insurance and retirement plan. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, have a valid Class D driver’s license, be proficient in GIS mapping and data management, and be able to complete an agriculture pest control and Weed-Free Forage Inspector certification (training provided). Experience in grant writing and public education and a bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Natural Resources, GIS or related field preferred. Requirements
