About The Position
Join our network of independent alteration professionals specializing in bridal and wedding wear. This role involves altering various formalwear, including wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses, prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, and suits. Key tasks include hemming, bustling, bodice/waist adjustments, strap alterations, cup insertions, and zipper repairs. The position requires working with structured bridal gowns that may have multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning, and tulle. Responsibilities also include conducting fittings, taking precise measurements, clearly communicating timelines to clients, delivering high-quality finishing, and maintaining an organized workspace suitable for fittings.
Requirements
- Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations
- Strong garment construction knowledge + precision measuring
- Machine + hand sewing proficiency
- Professional communication and customer service
Responsibilities
- Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses (hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers)
- Work with structured bridal gowns (multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning/tulle)
- Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly
- Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings
