About The Position
Join our network of independent alteration professionals specializing in bridal and wedding wear. This role involves altering various formalwear including wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses, with specific tasks like hemming, bustling, and adjusting bodices, waists, straps, cups, and zippers. The work also includes handling structured bridal gowns with multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning, and tulle. The professional will conduct fittings, take precise measurements, communicate timelines clearly, and deliver high-quality finishing while maintaining an organized workspace suitable for fittings. Additionally, there may be requests for alterations on prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, and other formalwear.
Requirements
- Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations
- Strong garment construction knowledge + precision measuring
- Machine + hand sewing proficiency
- Professional communication and customer service
Responsibilities
- Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses (hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers)
