About The Position
Join our network of independent alteration professionals specializing in bridal and wedding wear. This role involves altering wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses, including tasks such as hemming, bustle creation, bodice/waist adjustments, strap alterations, cup insertions, and zipper repairs. You will be expected to work with complex structured bridal gowns featuring multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning, and tulle. Key responsibilities include conducting fittings, taking precise measurements, and clearly communicating timelines to clients. Delivering high-quality finishing and maintaining an organized workspace suitable for fittings are essential. The platform also receives requests for alterations on prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, and other formalwear.
Requirements
- Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations
- Strong garment construction knowledge + precision measuring
- Machine + hand sewing proficiency
- Professional communication and customer service
Responsibilities
