About The Position
This role is for an independent alteration professional specializing in bridal and wedding wear. The position involves altering various formalwear, including wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses, with tasks such as hemming, bustling, and adjusting bodices, waists, straps, cups, and zippers. The professional will work with structured bridal gowns that may include multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning, and tulle. Key responsibilities also include conducting fittings, taking precise measurements, clearly communicating timelines, and delivering high-quality finishing while maintaining an organized workspace suitable for fittings. The platform also provides requests for other formalwear like prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, and suits.
Requirements
- Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations
- Strong garment construction knowledge + precision measuring
- Machine + hand sewing proficiency
- Professional communication and customer service
