About The Position

This role is for an independent alteration professional specializing in bridal and wedding wear. The position involves altering various formalwear, including wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses, as well as prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, and suits. Key responsibilities include conducting fittings, taking precise measurements, communicating timelines clearly, and delivering high-quality finishing while maintaining an organized workspace suitable for fittings.

Requirements

• Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations
• Strong garment construction knowledge + precision measuring
• Machine + hand sewing proficiency
• Professional communication and customer service

Responsibilities

• Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses (hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers)
• Work with structured bridal gowns (multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning/tulle)
• Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly
• Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings
