About The Position
Join our network of independent alteration professionals specializing in bridal and wedding wear. This role involves altering various types of formalwear, including wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses, prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, and suits. Key tasks include hemming, bustling, adjusting bodices, waists, straps, cups, and zippers, and working with complex bridal gown constructions like multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning, and tulle. The professional will also conduct fittings, take precise measurements, communicate timelines clearly, and ensure high-quality finishing while maintaining an organized workspace suitable for fittings.
Requirements
- Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations
- Strong garment construction knowledge + precision measuring
- Machine + hand sewing proficiency
- Professional communication and customer service
Responsibilities
- Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses (hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers)
- Work with structured bridal gowns (multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning/tulle)
- Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly
- Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings
