About The Position

Join our network of independent alteration professionals specializing in bridal and wedding wear. This role involves altering various formalwear, including wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses, prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, and suits. Key tasks include hemming, bustling, bodice/waist adjustments, strap and cup alterations, and zipper repairs. The professional will work with structured bridal gowns that feature multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning, and tulle. Responsibilities also include conducting fittings, taking precise measurements, clearly communicating timelines, delivering high-quality finishing, and maintaining an organized workspace suitable for fittings. The position is an independent contractor role, offering the flexibility to work from home and accept jobs that fit one's schedule, with local client requests provided through the platform.

Requirements

• Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations
• Strong garment construction knowledge + precision measuring
• Machine + hand sewing proficiency
• Professional communication and customer service

Responsibilities

• Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses (hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers)
• Work with structured bridal gowns (multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning/tulle)
