About The Position
Join our network of independent alteration professionals specializing in bridal and wedding wear. This role involves altering wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses, including tasks like hemming, bustling, bodice/waist adjustments, straps, cups, and zippers. You will work with structured bridal gowns that may have multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning, and tulle. Key responsibilities include conducting fittings, taking precise measurements, clearly communicating timelines, delivering high-quality finishing, and maintaining an organized workspace suitable for fittings. The network also receives requests for alterations on prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, and other formalwear.
Requirements
- Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations
- Strong garment construction knowledge + precision measuring
- Machine + hand sewing proficiency
- Professional communication and customer service
Responsibilities
- Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses (hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers)
