About The Position

Join our network of independent alteration professionals specializing in bridal and wedding wear. This role involves altering various formalwear including wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses, covering tasks such as hemming, bustling, and adjusting bodices, waists, straps, cups, and zippers. The professional will work with complex structured bridal gowns that feature multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning, and tulle. Key responsibilities also include conducting fittings, taking precise measurements, clearly communicating timelines to clients, and ensuring high-quality finishing while maintaining an organized workspace suitable for client fittings. Additionally, there will be opportunities to work on prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, and other formalwear.

Requirements

• Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations
• Strong garment construction knowledge + precision measuring
• Machine + hand sewing proficiency
• Professional communication and customer service

Responsibilities

• Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses (hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers)
• Work with structured bridal gowns (multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning/tulle)
• Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly
• Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings
• Receive requests for prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, and other formalwear
