About The Position
Join our network of independent alteration professionals specializing in bridal and wedding wear. This role involves altering wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses, including complex structured bridal gowns with multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning, and tulle. The position also handles requests for prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, and other formalwear. Responsibilities include conducting fittings, taking precise measurements, communicating timelines, and delivering high-quality finishing while maintaining an organized workspace suitable for fittings.
Requirements
- Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations
- Strong garment construction knowledge + precision measuring
- Machine + hand sewing proficiency
- Professional communication and customer service
Responsibilities
- Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses (hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers)
- Work with structured bridal gowns (multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning/tulle)
- Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly
- Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings
