About The Position

This role is for an independent alteration professional specializing in bridal and wedding wear, joining a network that provides local client requests through a platform. The position involves altering various formalwear, including wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses, prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, and suits. A key aspect of the work is handling structured bridal gowns, which often feature multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning, and tulle. Responsibilities also include conducting fittings, taking precise measurements, clearly communicating timelines to clients, and ensuring high-quality finishing. The professional is expected to maintain an organized workspace suitable for client fittings. Requirements

Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations
Strong garment construction knowledge + precision measuring
Machine + hand sewing proficiency

Responsibilities

Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses (hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers)
Work with structured bridal gowns (multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning/tulle)
Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly
Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings
