About The Position
Join our network of independent alteration professionals specializing in bridal and wedding wear. This role involves altering wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses, including hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, and zippers. You will work with structured bridal gowns that feature multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning, and tulle. Key responsibilities include conducting fittings, taking precise measurements, communicating timelines clearly, and delivering high-quality finishing while maintaining an organized workspace suitable for fittings. The role may also involve requests for prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, and other formalwear.
Requirements
- Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations
- Strong garment construction knowledge + precision measuring
- Machine + hand sewing proficiency
- Professional communication and customer service
