About The Position

The Wedding Coordinator is responsible for supporting Sales Manager(s) in ensuring successful events and transactions. The role prepares and/or oversees contracts and RFP/RFI responses for potential couples. Activities include wedding tours, site visits, rehearsals and billing coordination. Requirements

  • Outstanding attention to detail, organization, decision making and analytical skills
  • Self-starter, innovator, results-driven with ability to meet short and long term business goals
  • Ability to manage time well, meet imposed deadlines and ability to work flexible hours
  • Innovative and change driven with a high sense of urgency.
  • Proven problem solving skills with ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
  • This position requires the ability to stand, and, walk, 7 to 8 hours at a time, climb stairs, reach, and bend.
  • Required to work on weekends/evenings
  • The position may also require the ability to lift over 25 pounds occasionally.
  • At least two (2) – three (3) years in sales, guest service or event planning
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, the Internet, and email.

Nice To Haves

  • Hospitality and/or exec support experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate discretion and tact in preparing, disclosing and handling confidential information.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of management and team members within the organization.
  • Coordination of weddings, corporate events and all other functions throughout the year ensuring continued growth of the event market
  • Attends/participates in applicable internal meetings, wedding fairs, trade shows and such, so as to stay up to date on market
  • Facilitate site visits with prospective clients as well as pre-event reviews
  • Facilitate wedding rehearsals and ceremonies
  • Ensure all functions/bookings are booked to client requests
  • Cultivate strong relationships with others by responding and resolving matters promptly.
  • Sustain a “can-do” attitude, with no task too great or too small.
  • Other duties as may be assigned
