About The Position

The Wedding Coordinator supports couples with the celebration of their covenant of marriage at Mary, Queen of Peace, St. Joseph and Our Lady of Sorrows. For budgeting purposes, the estimated time of coordination per wedding is 10 hours.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift at least 20 lbs
• Must be a practicing Catholic.

Responsibilities

• Meet with couples to help them plan the details of their wedding, elaborating on general instructions or guidelines as needed.
• Lead the wedding rehearsal the day before the wedding to walk through the liturgy with the couple and anyone else with a role in the liturgy and orient them with the space.
• Be present on the day of the wedding for their arrival, pictures, the liturgy, and assist with any cleanup necessary, to ensure the smooth flow. May need to serve as the sacristan.
• Work with the Marriage Preparation coordinator as needed, who supports the couple through the larger marriage preparation process and sends them the initial paperwork.
