About The Position

The Website Operations team at Betterment is responsible for maintaining and evolving our public-facing marketing website. The team plays a critical role in ensuring content accuracy, compliance readiness, accessibility, SEO hygiene, and high-quality publishing standards across all lines of business. As a Website Operations Associate , you will support the day-to-day execution and maintenance of Betterment’s marketing website. Reporting into the Website Operations Manager, you will work hands-on in the Hubspot CMS, partnering closely with Web, Marketing, Creative, Design, Compliance, and Engineering to deliver high-quality website updates and compliance-related work, while ensuring day-to-day stakeholder needs are met. This role is based out of our NYC office. For jobs based out of our NYC HQ, we require in office attendance Monday through Thursday, weekly.

Requirements

  • This is a role for someone who is detail-oriented, process-minded, and excited to learn how a high-traffic marketing website operates at scale.
  • Comfortable working in a CMS (e.g., HubSpot) to manage structured content, templates, and web components; HTML/CSS experience is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow defined processes, quality standards, and QA workflows consistently
  • Clear written communication skills and comfortable collaborating with cross-functional partners such as designers, copywriters, marketers, and compliance teams
  • Prior experience supporting website updates or digital operations (internships or entry-level roles welcome), with exposure to content publishing best practices
  • Familiarity with accessibility, SEO fundamentals, or web quality assurance and an interest in applying those standards in day-to-day work

Responsibilities

  • Execute assigned day-to-day website updates in HubSpot CMS, including page edits, content publishing, metadata updates, redirects, and low-to-medium complexity builds using existing templates and web components
  • Serve as the primary executor for incoming website update requests from stakeholders, following defined intake, prioritization, approval, and SLA processes
  • Execute compliance-related website work, including disclosure and award updates, recordkeeping, and maintaining accurate audit trails of approvals
  • Perform pre-publish quality assurance to ensure pages meet accessibility, SEO, brand, and publishing standards, including metadata, internal linking, and indexation best practices
  • Support ongoing site maintenance and release operations, including change logs, publish communications, content remediations, page deprecations, redirect cleanup, and metadata audits
