The Website Designer, under general supervision, is responsible for the design and maintenance of websites. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Designs, reviews, and maintains websites: Ensures the websites are functional, user-friendly, visually appealing, and up-to-date. Collaborates with staff for website content: Works with various departments to gather content, determine needs, and assess priorities for web content, including site mapping and structure. Assesses new standards, technologies, and trends: Stays updated with the latest web development trends, technologies, and standards, and formulates strategies and plans for future enhancement of websites. Creates web-friendly graphics: Develops graphics for the web, including banners, buttons, advertisements, and info-graphics. Provides training in the content management system: Conducts training sessions and creates documentation to ensure staff can effectively use the content management system for updating and maintaining website content. Ensures website ADA compliance: Ensures that the website meets the latest WCAG standards, which includes making global template fixes to maintain accessibility for all users.
