This role focuses on content creation, storytelling, and strategic copywriting for Allina Health's website, ensuring all digital content is engaging, brand-aligned, and user-friendly. This role is responsible for writing, editing, and structuring web content that supports service line priorities, marketing campaigns, and patient engagement goals while also applying basic SEO principles to improve discoverability. As a digital copywriter, this role is responsible for bringing the corporate brand to life through creative, inspirational, and strategically crafted copy. Approximately 80% of their time will be spent writing content for websites, email campaigns, social media, and digital advertising, with the remaining 20% focused on content strategy. They will work closely with digital teams to optimize web experiences, enhance digital media performance, and create shareable, searchable content that reflects the exceptional work we do. Content is designed to engage diverse audiences across life stages, backgrounds, and interests—with a strong focus on acquiring and retaining patients through awareness, engagement, and trust-building.

  • Demonstrates strong proficiency in writing and editing for digital platforms, with an understanding of how to create impactful content across web, email, and social media.
  • Experience working within CMS platforms such as WordPress, Sitecore, or similar.
  • Applies basic SEO principles, including keyword research and metadata structuring, to improve content visibility and performance.
  • Ensures content aligns with digital best practices and brand voice across channels.
  • Develops compelling and cohesive copy for a variety of digital channels—including websites, email campaigns, social media, and digital ads—with the ability to adapt messaging across formats and audiences.
  • Presents work to internal customers.
  • Works directly with key leaders, physicians and subject matter experts.
  • Manages and maintains editorial plans, calendars and content.
  • Acts as an expert for existing and emerging trends for our audience and channels.
  • Plays a key role in the creative brief process with the ability to understand and translate marketing, strategic briefs and customer research into engaging creative concepts that support business objectives and goals.
  • Pitches work to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supports and mentors junior members of the content team.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and cross train other team members in emerging trends and content marketing principles.
  • Understands and champions brand standards and takes a lead role in the ongoing development and enhancement of the brand with a specific focus on brand voice.
  • Manages and maintains the style guide, message maps and brand standards.
  • Monitors brand application on individual and team projects to ensure consistency across all channels of communication.
  • Reinforces user-centered best practices and serves as a mentor for the team.
  • Bachelor's degree in art, design, advertising or similar.
  • 5+ years of experience as a B2C content writer, copywriter or similar.
  • 2+ years of experience in content strategy.
