About The Position

Under the direction of the Graphic Artist IV, the Webmaster will manage website content and technical operations, including design, maintenance, security, and user experience, ensuring they align with organizational goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, web design, web development, or information assurance.
• Five years of professional experience in a related field.
• Knowledge of computer technology, programming languages, ADA accessibility standards, coding processes, and security measures.
• Ability to review and translate specifications, develop and use appropriate testing protocols, and analyze user requests.

Nice To Haves

• Licensure as a producer/agent, adjuster, or affiliation with any entity regulated by the department must be surrendered upon hire.
• Pursuit of NAIC designations as job duties require.

Responsibilities

• Regularly update WordPress core, themes, and plugins to ensure security and stability, and apply security patches and fix bugs.
• Post and manage content such as public notices, regulatory updates, news, and educational materials, ensuring all content is accessible, accurate, and up to date.
• Implement and monitor security tools and ensure the website complies with state and federal standards, such as ADA (Accessibility), Section 508, and cybersecurity protocols.
• Set up automated daily backups and test recovery procedures, maintaining rollback capabilities in case of data loss or a site crash.
• Optimize site speed and load time using caching, image compression, and CDN services, and regularly audit for broken links, unused plugins, or slow-loading scripts.
• Implement SEO best practices to ensure content visibility on search engines and track and analyze web traffic using tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
• Provide user management troubleshooting and support, ensuring design consistency and branding compliance with legal requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
