The webcast engineer is responsible for the planning and execution of all technical aspects of the events assigned to them. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with technical fundamentals, including audio gain structure, video and audio signal flow, radio frequency basics (wireless microphones), TCP/IP networking basics
  • 5+ years of experience designing, setting up and configuring A/V systems in a mobile environment
  • 5+ years of experience operating digital audio mixers, specifically those manufactured by Yamaha and Allen & Heath
  • 5+ years of experience operating broadcast video switchers, specifically those manufactured by Ross and Roland
  • 3+ years of experience directing crews in setup, run-time and strike
  • Advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with general computer use and video conferencing platforms – MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Zoom, WebEx

Nice To Haves

  • Deployment and troubleshooting Dante audio-over-IP
  • Creative experience in video, sound design, editing, visual storytelling, and lighting for video
  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Event graphics applications such as Millumin, Disguise, Ross Expression
  • Degrees in related disciplines such as audio recording, technical theater, broadcast engineering etc.
  • Project management
  • Previous experience working for/with large, regulated corporate entities with complex technical ecosystems
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical stakeholders, end-users and executive leadership through a variety of mediums
  • Ability to self-manage and remain highly flexible as needs shift during the event lifecycle
