About The Position

Electricians are to perform, certify, and permit all electrical work required to keep the network lighting system in good working order and within contractual performance compliance. The position involves creating safe Maintenance of Traffic (M.O.T) control, installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment, and ensuring compliance with NEC codes. Electricians will use advanced troubleshooting skills to diagnose faults and implement repairs, maintain quality workmanship, and collaborate with other trades and maintenance teams. Availability for emergency response rotations is required, including overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED.
• License-Electrical Journeyman in the County/State of the Project (Required).
• Licensed electricians shall have five (5) or more years of experience in residential and commercial electrical systems, including interior and exterior lighting (Required).
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record (Required).
• Ability to pass and obtain Advanced MOT Certification (Required).

Responsibilities

• Creates safe Maintenance of Traffic (M.O.T) control by setup and removal of traffic control devices including barrels/vertical panels, message/arrow boards, temporary signage, etc.
• Installation, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment including but not limited to street lighting.
• Knowledgeable about NEC codes and requirements and all work will be performed in accordance with current NEC.
• Uses advanced troubleshooting skills to accurately diagnose causes of faults across the full spectrum of electrical assets and systems in a timely manner.
• Implements cost-effective and reliable repairs to NEC standards.
• Must maintain quality workmanship.
• Must work in collaboration with other trades, maintenance teams, and inspectors.
• Required to be available for emergency response rotations as needed for overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Other duties as assigned.
