About The Position

The Web Services DevOps Specialist I position at the State of Illinois involves providing information technology services within the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT). This role focuses on assisting in the administration, configuration, development, testing, enhancement, maintenance, and support of various environments, platforms, and software tools, particularly those related to Adobe products and Google Cloud Platform. Requirements

  • Completion of two years of college with coursework in computer science or related fields, or completion of an agency-sponsored training program.
  • Elementary knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes.
  • Basic understanding of programming languages such as HTML, Java, JavaScript, CSS, or XML.
  • Familiarity with Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, or GitHub.
  • Elementary knowledge of database application development, particularly Microsoft SQL.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager Administration or Adobe XD.
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite, MS Project, or MS Visio.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the administration, configuration, development, maintenance, and support of environments/platforms/software/tools assigned to the Web Services teams.
  • Support experienced analysts in their tasks related to technology services.
  • Help in the configuration, testing, installation, and documentation of systems, including maintaining user instructions and system documentation.
  • Stay updated on new developments in the IT field through continued education and training sessions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned that are within the scope of the position.
