Web Press Operator - 1st Shift Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:00 pm Hourly Pay Rate: $25.00 and up DOE + $0.50/hr wage increase eligible after 90 days Vericast offers a year-round TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED, BRIGHT, CLEAN manufacturing printing team-based environment. JOB SUMMARY Responsible for the daily operation of web presses as directed by the press operator. Maintain cleanliness and operation of press. Coordinate with internal agencies for required materials: i.e. ink plate paper tape etc. Ensure accuracy of printed material coming from the press.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must display excellent work habits willingness to be a team player
- Minimum 3 years offset/web printing experience preferred.
- Must be able to identify colors and imperfections
- High Mechanical Reasoning Expectations
Nice To Haves
- Proven track record in waste reduction and profit improvement
Responsibilities
- Press Start-up Procedures: Daily/Weekly Maintenance and Safety checks.
- Machine operation to include: print unit setup, numbering unit setup, process unit setup, delivery unit setup and other operations necessary to complete print operator duties.
- Quality inspections: before print, while printing and after.
- Clean up and shut down procedures/End of shift activities.
- Communication.
- Lifting requirements: 50 lbs. regularly and up to 75 lbs. on occasion
