About The Position

As the Web Operations Manager, you lead and help shape the future of the Web Development Department. You are responsible for the daily operations of the team to ensure they are functioning at industry level standards and best practices while focusing on client growth and success. You work closely with the Strategy Team and oversee the Web Development Team to scope, build, launch, and maintain websites and web projects. You have web development knowledge and strong leadership and management skills, capable of motivating the team’s technical and creative members. You are excited about the quality and speed of client service along with the opportunity to innovate as the client’s needs evolve.

Requirements

  • A proven track record of the ability to prioritize, organize, and multi-task in a flexible and fast paced environment to effectively meet deadlines.
  • A proven track record of relationship building and creating long-lasting rapport with clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to investigate and think analytically.
  • Ability to lead, train, and hold team members accountable.
  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate both technical and non-technical information between internal product teams and external clients.
  • Basic full stack LAMP development knowledge (Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP).
  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of Linux server and PHP programming language, including object oriented concepts pertaining to PHP 5.6 and higher.
  • Experience with project management and project management approaches.
  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of content management systems (CMS), preferably WordPress.
  • Basic skills with Git version control and deployment.
  • Demonstrates a basic knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, JavaScript Libraries, CSS, jQuery, and JavaScript frameworks (React/Angular).

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the daily operations of the Web Development Department, including resource planning and project management.
  • Manage and be accountable for staffing, mentorship, training, workload balancing, and team building within the Web Development Department.
  • Manage the Web Development Department’s growth and revenue.
  • Perfect and implement changes to the products and services within the Web Development department, such as website development and website maintenance.
  • Develop an effective organizational structure and life-cycle approach for building and maintaining client websites and web projects.
  • Collaborate with the Project Coordinator and the Strategy Team to deliver quality projects timely.
  • Build relationships with current and prospective clientele and occasionally travel to meet with them face-to-face.
  • Support the New Business and Strategy Teams with sales, organic growth, and client retention.
  • Accountable to understanding agency financial management practices and responsible for department Profit and Loss and Budgeting.
  • Present industry knowledge internally and externally at applicable conferences, events, or webinars.
  • Conduct ongoing professional research and education, staying up-to-date on industry trends.
