At Eko, we're dedicated to providing healthcare professionals with industry leading digital tools to hear and understand their patients' hearts and lungs. With our platform, clinicians can detect cardiopulmonary disease with higher accuracy, diagnose with more confidence, manage treatment effectively, and ultimately give their patients the best care possible. We are seeking an experienced web developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality web applications. Our web apps support our Enterprise, SMB, and Consumer businesses. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, clinical and sales teams, and other engineers to deliver exceptional web experiences.

  • Play a key role in developing software features used by physicians and clinical personnel to monitor cardiac health
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance Web applications
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define, design, and ship new features
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our applications remain current and competitive
  • Collaborate with backend developers to define and integrate APIs
  • 3+ years of industry experience as a Web engineer
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality web applications
  • Experience using modern single-page JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue
  • Familiarity with REST/JSON web services and APIs
  • An in-depth understanding of common design patterns and anti-patterns
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working with medical devices or apps in a regulated environment
  • Good understanding of HIPAA compliance
  • Experience with EHRs (SMART on FHIR, HL7v2, etc.)
  • Experience managing deployments in a cloud environment
