Web Developer
About The Position
The Web Developer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-quality websites for Ebenezer Senior Living's portfolio of communities. This position plays a critical role in delivering efficient digital experiences that reflect our brand, support new community onboarding, and meet accessibility and performance standards. The web developer collaborates with the internal marketing team, including a web designer and copywriter, as well as our SEO consultant to deliver functional, mobile-responsive, and search-optimized websites. The developer will also maintain sites, implement analytics tools, and manage CMS platforms including WordPress and HubSpot.
Requirements
- 5 or more years experience with HubSpot CMS and embedded marketing tools
- 8 or more years experience advanced WordPress development (custom themes, templates, plugins)
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science Web Development, Computer Science, Design, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5 or more years experienceyears Experience in senior living or healthcare
- 5 or more years experienceyears Understanding of accessibility (WCAG), mobile-first design, GA4, GTM
- 5 or more years experience Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain community websites on WordPress and HubSpot CMS
- Collaborate with internal team to execute page layouts, templates, and mobile-responsive designs
- Implement technical SEO best practices (e.g., redirects, schema, Core Web Vitals)
- Ensure all websites meet WCAG 2.1+ accessibility standards
- Integrate and manage embedded HubSpot forms, analytics scripts, and call tracking
- Support microsites and campaign landing pages
- Manage CMS security updates, plugin health, and hosting backups
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and device responsiveness
- Participate in process documentation, internal training, and digital infrastructure planning
- Stay up to date with digital and accessibility trends
