About The Position

As a Web Developer, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful. You will play a crucial role in the Office of Knowledge Management (OKM) by delivering high-quality, reliable, and user-friendly applications to U.S. Army Europe and Africa (USAREUR-AF). You will work closely with customers and end users to understand business needs and build the best solution to meet them. Working in an Agile environment, you will adhere to established best practices to deliver high-quality, reliable, and user-friendly applications. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a Software Developer, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to supplying mission command support to U.S. Army Europe. Design, develop, code, test, and debug new business automation applications, and implement enhancements to existing applications. Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for software and web applications, supporting ongoing maintenance and upgrades. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with complex software applications. Leverage strong understanding of software development principles, methods, and techniques, along with proficiency in relevant technologies. Collaborate with business stakeholders to apply expert knowledge to analyze user/business needs, plan and design user-centric applications. Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of related web/software development experience.
  • Security clearance level: Active Secret
  • Required Certifications: DoD 8570 certification such as a CompTIA Security+ CE certification
  • Must be approved for German TESA.
  • This is an on-site position working within the customer environment.
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, jQuery
  • Deep understanding of web development principles, including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript
  • Experience building solutions using the Office 365 platform (Teams, SharePoint Online, etc.) and Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
  • Proven experience integrating web applications with SharePoint Online document libraries, lists, web parts and leveraging SharePoint REST API to access resources
  • Experience working collaboratively within an Agile development team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SharePoint SPFX and React framework
  • Experience using Git for source control, including branching strategies, pull requests, and code review processes
  • Experience with Palantir Foundry and building solutions in Maven and/or Vantage a plus.
