About The Position

Discovery Senior Living is hiring a Web Developer to join our team at our home office in Bonita Springs, FL. This mid-level developer will assist in the support and maintenance of community websites and data integrations between our CMS and CRM systems. This cross-functional role will collaborate with internal and external teams and partners to develop, support, and maintain websites across the enterprise. The developer will work closely with various members of the Digital Marketing Team to assist with new optimization projects for lead conversion and with the Junior Web Development team to execute change requests, new projects, and troubleshoot via our ticket system. The candidate must be comfortable interfacing with cross-functional team members to ensure deliverables are accurate and on time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or working towards a bachelor's degree in computer science, web development, software development, marketing or related field.
  • 5+ years in web development fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • 5+ years with content management systems (CMS) specifically WordPress, HubSpot.
  • 5+ years back-end frameworks such as .Net or Node.js.
  • UI/UX design experience utilizing best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with QA and testing applications and code.
  • Capacity to function in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to follow and take direction and feedback.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail for precise analysis of data and requirements.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with teams and collaborate as well as independently.
  • Time management and multitasking skills with the ability to execute tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of HubSpot HubL syntax, modules and structure.
  • Knowledge of responsive design templating.
  • Knowledge of Front-end JavaScript frameworks such as Vue, React, and Angular.
  • Knowledge of version management, using tools like Git.
  • Working knowledge of graphic design.
  • Knowledge of Relational databases such as MySQL / SQL Server.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for development, support, and administration of web-based Content Management System (CMS) applications.
  • Develop complex websites, applications, modules, and admin tools using HUBL, C#, HTML, and CSS.
  • Integrate data and troubleshoot issues between our Marketing CMS and CRM system to ensure seamless data flow and synchronization.
  • Work with stakeholders to gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
  • Create and maintain software documentation.
  • Maintain, expand, and scale our sites.
  • Stay plugged into emerging technologies and industry trends and apply them to operations and activities.
  • Conduct browser and mobile device testing for responsive websites.
  • Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using web development best practices.
  • Manage development projects from end-to-end, working with both internal and 3rd party agencies.
  • Oversee the entire QA process of all sites.
  • Responsible for Google Analytics tagging.
  • Assist in the management and mentoring of Junior Web Developers on development projects.
