About The Position

The Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech and Emory University is seeking a Senior Web Developer to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing web development projects, including building new web pages and overseeing web applications. This is an onsite position and applicants should have strong experience and up-to-date knowledge of the latest web development technologies.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Six to eight years of job related experience
This job requires advanced knowledge and skills in configuration and deployment of web applications including database design, web based scripting languages and web standards. Additionally, skills in project management, work leadership, presentation, customer service and problem solving are required.

Nice To Haves

Advanced knowledge of CMS systems including Drupal and Wordpress
Strong knowledge and experience with hosting platforms including Pantheon, Plesk, etc.
Experience with webpage design
Understanding of UX/UI
Knowledge and experience with SEO and GA4/Google Analytics
Strong knowledge of Javascript, PHP, and SQL
Solid experience in coding with strong knowledge in semantic HTML, CSS, Accessibility, and web frameworks

Responsibilities

Conduct web-based applications development and implementation consistent with unit needs
Maintain assigned applications, providing issue resolution in a timely manner
Maintain all required documentation related to unit web applications
Provide direction and leadership for web-related project assignments
Prepare project schedules and budgets
Prepare formal and informal status reports and presentations
Perform other duties as assigned
