About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Web Designer responsible for designing, developing, and creating user-centered designs for websites. This role focuses on enhancing the usability, usefulness, and desirability of web applications in collaboration with various team members. The candidate should demonstrate proficiency in usability testing, design prototyping, and user interface consulting.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 3 years of combined IT and graphic design experience.
Strong understanding of HTML and web development tools.
Proficient in graphic applications and authoring tools.
Experience in web production and front-end development using programming and scripting languages.
Portfolio showcasing websites or web solutions.
Ability to work on moderately complex to complex projects independently and as part of a team.
Capability to coach junior technical staff.

Responsibilities

Design and develop user-centered designs for websites.
Conduct human factors engineering, heuristic evaluations, and usability testing.
Set and monitor metrics to assess web application usability.
Collaborate with Graphic Designers, Product Managers, Engineering Staff, and other Web Designers.
Perform usability tests and provide design prototypes.
Gather requirements and articulate user interface issues, including the development of page/site prototypes.
Integrate design into program rules and system architecture.
Create innovative approaches to improving the end-user experience.
Ensure platform/browser compatibility and resolve basic usability issues.
